| Basement Art Projects is a curatorial project by London-based artist, Yu-Chen Wang, working in collaboration with artists, writers, researchers and curators. Without a fixed premise Basement was founded in 2005 as an internet-based project space. After presenting ten on-line projects, Basement began to develop a number of exhibitions in various venues across the UK and internationally, including the Netherlands, Canada, Georgia and Turkey. Basement is interested in exploring contemporary art practice and creative curating through international collaboration and exhibiting in a diversity of galleries, public and alternative spaces. |
| Basement Art Projects is self-funded and has received support from Arts Council England, British Council, Art Caucasus, Taipei Representative Office in the UK, The Mexican Embassy, The Royal Netherlands Embassy, Camden Council and a-n The Artists Information Company. |
